Broken Group Islands - This cluster of picturesque islands in the sheltered waters of Barclay Sound and the Broken Group Islands is one of our favourite kayaking destinations. Located off the Westcoast of Vancouver Island, the calm, crystal clear waters are home to porpoises, river otters, sea-lions, migrating Grey whales and over 200 species of seabirds. The inter tidal zones are also alive with brilliant sea-life. The Broken Group Islands are noted for incredible fishing (snapper, salmon, cod and even small co-operative halibut have ended up in our frying pan) and the sunsets are amazing! All this and more make this expedition an outstanding adventure for the "wild at heart".
