About Us
We have been running Sea Kayaking Tours since 1990
Wild Heart Adventure Tours is locally owned and operated by Kim and Penny Crosby. A certified Wilderness First Aid and Safety Leader and Sea Kayak Instructor, Kim’s “Wild Heart” has driven him all over the globe, from cycling throughout Europe, Asia and North Africa, to extensive sea-kayak touring along B.C.’s west coast and the island and caves of Honduras. Penny is both a practicing registered nurse and a certified Wilderness First Aid and Safety Leader who’s “Wild Heart” has taken her diving the Great Barrier Reef, elephant-touring in the jungles of Thailand, to kayaking the coastal waters of British Columbia and Central America. All our expedition guides are fully trained & certified in wilderness first aid. They are selected for their knowledge, skill, good-humour and love of sea-kayaking and adventure. They each share in our desire and commitment to making your Wild Heart expedition the adventure of a lifetime!
Since 1990 we have been running quality sea kayaking expeditions to some of the most fascinating coastal areas of Vancouver Island. Our expeditions are in relatively safe , protected waters and no previous kayaking experience is necessary. Although sunshine and warm breezes are always preferred, the ability to laugh in the face of the wind and rain is mandatory. In addition to majestic scenery, tranquil waters and spectacular sea/wildlife, we consider good food (and plenty of it) to be an integral part of our expeditions. “I never eat this well at home” is an often heard comment on one of our trips. We enjoy preparing top-quality meals in a wilderness setting. Fresh ingredients enable us to offer a wide variety of different cuisines and whenever possible, we compliment our meals with fresh seafood caught daily. Come with a hearty appetite and we’re sure you’ll be eating sumptuous seconds!
We take pride in our equipment, supplying you with the best the sport has to offer. Our “flotilla”is made up of double and single ocean kayaks and we supply all safety and group camping equipment. So if you want to get away from it all, try something you’ve dreamed of doing but…., meet new friends and learn something new about yourself, all amidst the splendour of British Columbia’s magnificent west coast, then we invite you to treat yourself and join us on one of our expeditions this season.
